| History of Queensbury Celtic JFC |

The club proved to be very popular and successful. When, a few years later, land became available in Queensbury, and because of the continued growth and success of the club, the committee of the time decided to take the plunge and purchase what is now the current home of the club. The land, at the junction of Pit Lane and the Brighouse & Denholme Rd, was transformed to accommodate three pitches, a clubhouse and car parking facilities. After much effort (physical and fund raising) from past and present committee members and parents, the ground was ready for the first matches to be played in the 1990 season. Erection of the Clubhouse and changing facilities was completed through the course of that first season. The teams play in the Keybury Alarms League, Garforth or the Craven, Aire & Wharfe Leagues all of which are considered of good standard and extremely competitive. During the clubs history, it has built up a deserved reputation in local junior football and has gone on to produce a number of players that have made the grade in the professional game....
